During the longest cold snap
in recent memory, ice fog formed every night in the city of Whitehorse
as the overnight temperature dropped down to the -40C range.
Moisture in the atmosphere from the Yukon River, car exhaust
and even buildings condensed into a thick fog that spread across
the city each night.

their engines running in the cold, just in case the engines get
